Cotton issue

About 20% of the world’s cotton comes from China and 84% of that comes from Xinjiang province, which has being reported of forced labour and human right abuses issue since 2017 .

The United States began imposing sanctions on several cotton suppliers from China in 2020, as well cotton has been designated a “high priority for enforcement” by UFLPA, at the same time Europe are discussing expanding the ban of China cotton.
