Nike May Raise Prices by Late May Due to Tariff Pressure

Facing tariff pressures and profit margin concerns, Nike is reportedly planning to increase prices on shoes, apparel, and sports gear as early as the end of May.

Prices for adult clothing may rise by $2–$10, while sneakers priced between $100–$150 could see a $5 increase. Higher-end models may go up by $10.

Although the official price hike starts June 1, some items may see earlier increases. Most Nike products will be affected, but some prices will remain unchanged.

Children’s products and items under $100 won’t see increases, as Nike wants to ease the financial burden on families.

The popular Air Force 1 might rise to $115. Nike believes customers value comfort and quality, so prices will reflect that. The Jordan brand will also see price adjustments.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed raising tariffs on Chinese imports up to 60%, pressuring companies like Nike that rely heavily on Chinese manufacturing.

Other companies like Walmart, Best Buy, Mattel, Procter & Gamble, Stanley Black & Decker, and Ford have also warned of possible price hikes if tariffs increase.
